Update: Thanks to this sub, managed to create some shading I’m happy with on the IL-2. Admittedly have ruined it a wee bit with the chipping, but hey, improving. Hopefully the upcoming varnishes will tone it down a bit, but even then I don’t mind pronounced shading.
